Drinking water can boost your ability to burn fat! A German study has shown that drinking 500ml of water increases metabolic rate by 30% in both men and in women (1). Well lets be honest, water certainly doesn't flush fat out of the system. According to Cosmopolitan Jennifer Lopez drinks ice-cold water to speed up her metabolism! The science behind it is that your body burns extra calories to try and warm up the water to body temperature before processing it.

So instead of rolling out of bed and turning on your coffee machine first thing in the morning, switch up your routine and down 500ml of ice cold water instead. You will be more awake than having your coffee and definitely feel hydrated. Also make it a habit to consume several ice cold glasses of water throughout each day to burn calories without the effort.

Bottom line, water is good for health.
